Birkhead Wilderness -- Thornburg Trail
Trail begins at the parking area at the old Thornburg homeplace and is approximately 12 miles, with a shortcut option that reduces the first day's travel by approximately 1.5 miles.

Table Rock -- Rappelling Area
These maps illustrate directions to the rappelling area at The Chimneys on Table Rock. Take Highway 181 N. out of Morganton. Turn left on Ginger Cake Acres Road. Follow maps from there. The GPX file contains coordinates to the rappelling area.
